At The Monday Feb. 23, 2026, meeting of the Rotary Club of London meeting, President Lian Bardaweel reminded us that February is Rotary’s Peace and Conflict Prevention Month — and that peace doesn’t begin on world stages. It begins in rooms like ours. Peace begins in how we treat one another. In how we respond when we disagree. In how we lead — especially when it’s inconvenient. Each of us carries influence — in our workplaces, our families, and our community.
Rotary gives us a compass for that influence through the Four-Way Test: • Is it the Truth? • Is it Fair to all concerned? • Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships? • Will it be Beneficial to all concerned? “Imagine,” she challenged us, “if every difficult conversation passed through those four questions.” That’s not abstract peace. That’s practical peace. That’s leadership. As we move through this week, where can we apply the Four-Way Test — not just as Rotarians, but as peacebuilders in our everyday lives?
