At the December 8th meeting, Kim Shippey shared an inspiring presentation on the Homes for Heroes Foundation — an initiative addressing veteran homelessness across Canada.
With more than 10,000 veterans currently without stable housing, the Foundation is building transitional “villages” that offer hope and community. We learned that London will open its own Homes for Heroes Village in 2026, joining those already operating in Kingston and Calgary Pesident-Elect Steve Knox, who chaired the meeting, thanked Kim for helping Rotarians stay informed about vital community developments — and for reminding us that no veteran should ever be left behind. A London Homes for Heroes Village is planned for 2026, joining communities in Kingston and Calgary.
