President: Britta Winther

Britta Winther works as a consultant primarily focused on management and hospitality projects involving organizational change and efficiencies.  

Britta is the the board and is President Elect for 2009.  Since joining Rotary in 1996 she has served on a variety committees including Sports Celebrity, Youth Exchange and Membership, as well as hosting three inbound exchange students over the years.  In 2002 she was selected as the Rotarian of the Year for the club.

Britta is involved in a number of community organizations including:  member of the Board of Governors, Fanshawe College;  member of the Board of the London Club. Previously Chair of YMCA London,  member of the YMCA Canada national board, Parkwood Hospital Board, Children’s Museum Board.


Vice President: Bob Black, Executive Director, Youth for Christ

Bob is the Executive Director of London Youth For Christ, a ministry program that serves young people in our local high schools, street level youth and teen parents within our community.  A Rotarian for the past 20 years, Bob has enjoyed serving on a wide variety of committees and is now presently serving as the club’s President-elect.  He will assume the role of Club President on July 1st, 2010.  
 

Past President: Sandi McCabe, Vice President of McCabe Promotional Advertising

Sandi is Vice President of McCabe Promotional Advertising, one of the largest promotional houses in Canada helping Clients across Canada and beyond to promote their brand using clothing and hard goods.  McCabe is also a licensed vendor for Rotary International. 

Sandi is serving as Club President for 2008-09.  She has been a GSE Leader to The Netherlands in 2006, Co-Chair of Membership as well as Chair of Youth Exchange.  She has been a Member since 1991.  Jim and Sandi have been privileged to take part in a Polio National Immunization Day in India in 2005.

Other community involvement includes past Board Member of the London YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of London and Chair of the House Committee at the London Hunt Club.


Treasurer: David Wells

Dave is a partner in the accounting firm of Collins Barrow KMD LLP. He is a Chartered Accountant who specialized in providing accounting and tax services to owner managed businesses. Dave has been a Rotarian since 1998 and is currently Treasurer of the Rotary Club of London and is an active member of the World Community Service Committee. Dave is also a member, and former president, of the London Professionals Group.

 

 

Club Secretary: Jim Belton

Jim is a Development and Communications Coordinator at Hutton House, an organization working with youth and adults with disabilities.  He, a third generation Rotarian, joined the Rotary Club of London on February 1, 1971.

 

Jim, currently Club Secretary and was Club President in 1988-89 and has the Chaired the Club Foundation, London Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction, the Rotary Horse Show, and the Speakers Committee.  He has also served on the World Community Service and the Club’s RI Foundation committees. He was the recipient of The Hon. Ray Lawson Rotarian of the Year Award in 1983. 

In RI District 6330 Jim has chaired the Group Study Exchange and the Rotary Foundation committees. He was the GSE Team Leader on an exchange to Southern India in 1986.  In 1995 The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International awarded the “Citation For Meritorious Service” to Jim, a Paul Harris Fellow.

 

In the community Jim is a member of the Sari Therapeutic Riding Governance Committee, In the past he has been a Director of Sari, President of the London Chamber of Commerce, the founding VP of the Sunshine Foundation of Canada, VP of Scouts Canada London Regional Council as well as Beaver, Cub and Scout leader, President of the Lumber and Building Materials Association of Ontario, a Director of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Southwest Trillium Hunter/Jumper Equestrian Circuit.

 

Director: Rick Phillips

Lieutenant-Colonel Rick Phillips is a fulltime reserve officer with the Canadian Army, currently commanding units in London, Windsor and Hamilton. A member of Rotary since 2004, Rick is new to the Board, and has served on the Rummage Sale committee and previously on the Sportsman's Dinner committee.  Rick also serves on the Board of the London St John Ambulance, and is a member of The London Garrison Community Council, the Royal London Military Institute, and the Vimy Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.


 

 

Director:  Greg Schinkel

Greg Schinkel is a professional speaker, corporate trainer, author and the President of Unique Training & Development Inc. A Rotarian since 2004, Greg is actively involved in the Rotary Rummage Sale, Membership Committee, Scholarships Committee and Board of Directors. In the broader community Greg has held leadership roles with the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, Canadian Association of Family Enterprise, and Metropolitan United Church.
 

 

Director: Janet Tufts

Janet is the Executive Director of The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, a national non-profit organization located in downtown London. A Rotarian for two years, Janet is actively involved as a Board Member as well as serving on the Public Relations Committee and the World Community Service Committee. Outside of Rotary, Janet is the Board Chair of Hope's Garden Eating Disorders & Support Centre.
